Feel free to play a different Christmas game

Feel free to play a different Christmas game

With Christmas almost nigh, undoubtedly some people, especially those who are feeling a bit stretched financially, may be worrying that they can’t afford costly Christmas presents for their loved ones.

It might be worthwhile remembering that, despite the many commercial pressures suggesting the contrary, you can choose to play a different game: you can choose to show these special people just how much you care by giving a particularly thoughtful gift, possibly something that you have made yourself, rather than an expensive one.

After all, the old saying that “it’s the thought that counts” is still true, even in this 21st century.

And, of course, one of the most important things about Christmas is the opportunity that it provides to get together with our loved ones. Surely, the gifts are secondary to this.

On this note, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe, joyful and fulfilling Christmas.
