Does mindfulness help with stress and anxiety?

Does mindfulness help with stress and anxiety?

This is a question that I get asked from time to time and I would certainly agree that mindfulness can help with stress and anxiety. In fact, I believe mindfulness is a wonderful practice for everyone to introduce into their life for a range of reasons.

The best way to learn to be mindful is to practice sitting quietly to 5 or 10 minutes each day simply observing your thoughts and not getting attached to them or judging them in any way. While this might seem simple, don’t be surprised if you find that it is harder than it seems.

Nevertheless, with practice it can become easier.

By doing the regular practice, you discover that you start to act mindfully in everyday life and that is where the real benefits kick in. You find that you are able to observe your thoughts in a more detached way and are less likely to get caught up in them.

Naturally, this can be very helpful when you’re being pulled down by stress and anxiety.

You will find my e-book ‘Mindfulness for Busy People’ in the store on my website at:

https://executivebreakthrough.com/shop/

along with a ‘10-Minute Mindfulness Relaxation Meditation’ audio that you can use to guide your mindfulness practice.

However, mindfulness still tends to be acting on a conscious level and it is quite common for stress and anxiety to be driven by unconscious programs that were not aware of. Because they are unconscious, it can be very hard to uncover them by ourselves and to let them go and so that is where my one-on-one work becomes really powerful.

I have unique techniques to help my clients quickly let go of these unconscious mental knots so that they can free themselves from the underlying stress and anxiety that they might be causing.

If this is of interest to you in anyway, please feel free to contact me.
