How powerful is the unconscious mind?

How powerful is the unconscious mind?

You can think of your subconscious mind as the world’s most powerful biological supercomputer, far more advanced than any man-made technology.

It’s estimated that the unconscious mind processes around 11 million pieces of information per second, whereas the conscious mind processes about 40. This illustrates the sheer processing power of the unconscious, handling the bulk of the sensory input and internal signals we receive every moment.

This supercomputer is constantly at work, a silent powerhouse beneath the surface of your conscious awareness. Just as an iceberg conceals most of its mass beneath the ocean waves, your subconscious is the hidden strength beneath the visible tip of your conscious mind.

The programs running in this biological supercomputer are your habits, emotions, and memories—complex codes and templates that guide your life and contribute to you being the unique person that you are.

These programs are designed to operate in the background, controlling everything from your heartbeat to your emotional responses to events around you. They’re the autopilot of your being, allowing you to function without having to consciously think about every little action you take.

Yet sometimes the very programs designed to protect you can become outdated and limiting, possibly causing unnecessary pain.

They might have been installed during your childhood or after a significant event in your life. For instance, a program that tells you to fear and avoid confrontation might have been useful in a past environment but could now be preventing you from standing up for yourself when necessary.

Updating the software of your subconscious mind to change unhelpful thoughts or patterns of behaviour isn’t as simple as pressing a button, but it can be done. It involves deep self-reflection, often with the help of a professional, to dive into the depths of your mental ocean, to bring to the surface those old programs that no longer serve you.

Once you’re aware of these programs, you can begin the process of rewriting them, installing updates that reflect your current goals, values, and understanding of the world.

In harnessing the power of your subconscious supercomputer, you can reprogram it to overcome limiting beliefs, to heal from past trauma, and to unlock new levels of performance and well-being.

By doing so, you transform not just your inner world but also how you interact with the world around you, creating a reality that is in better alignment with your conscious desires and aspirations.

If you would like to find out more about how you might let go of those limiting beliefs and emotions that have held you back for so long, DM me and we can arrange a friendly chat to discuss ways of helping you solve those problem, once and for all.
